Galapagueana to take away

Galapagueana aims to become an extensive and densely interconnected repository of documents of different types. But, at the same time, it wants to be a friendly space for consultation and dissemination, totally open to the community: a true source of reference on Galapagos memory.

The "Galapagueana to take away" service takes a step in that direction. It offers the opportunity to download and use both the offline contents of Galapagueana and small capsules of Galapagos history, with carefully curated and condensed contents. Such contents are aimed mainly at naturalist guides, park rangers, teachers and students in the Galapagos Islands, but they can be used by many others.

Suggestions, recommendations and requests about the contents disclosed through "Galapagueana to take away" can be sent to the Galapagueana contact email.

007 | Timeline and historical bibliography of Galapagos

The intangible cultural heritage of the Galapagos Islands is expressed, among other things, in a bibliography that codifies the history of the archipelago. This bibliography, understood as an "ordered collection of manuscripts and printed documents," is framed in a chronology or timeline. The present book recovers the chronology and historical bibliography presented in Galapagueana, corresponding to the period between the 16th and 18th centuries.
